Who are we looking for:
We are seeking a DevOps Engineer to build and maintain development tools and cloud infrastructure, automate release processes, and enhance system security. You’ll work closely with developers to ensure smooth deployments, compliance with configuration management, and the implementation of CI/CD best practices.
What will you do?
- Build and set up new development tools and infrastructure
- Work on ways to automate and improve development and release processes
- Select and deploy appropriate CI/CD tools
- Provision, configure and maintain AWS cloud infrastructure defined as code
- Ensure that systems are safe and secure against cybersecurity threats
- Ensure configuration and compliance with configuration management tools
- Work with software developers and software engineers to ensure that development follows established processes and works as intended
What skills do you need to have?
- Experience working on Linux based infrastructure
- Experience with AWS infrastructure
- Configuration and managing databases
- Excellent troubleshooting
- Working knowledge of various tools, open-source technologies, and cloud services
- Significant experience with Linux system administration
- Experience with Docker, Git and deploying applications on AWS
- Awareness of critical concepts in DevOps and Agile principles
- Understanding of working with various operating systems and their implications
- Good understanding of Python
- Effective time management
- Good communication skills
- High level of integrity & strong work ethic
What’s nice to have?
- Experience deploying and managing infrastructure with Infrastructure as Code (eg Terraform)
- Ability to learn/use a wide variety of open-source technologies and tools
- Experience with API Gateway and Lambda
