Who are we looking for?
We are looking for a skilled WordPress Developer who understands modern web development workflows and best practices. You will work closely with our design and development teams to bring UI designs to life, build custom WordPress solutions, and ensure our deployments are secure, efficient, and scalable.
This role requires strong PHP, JavaScript (beyond jQuery), and API integration skills, along with experience working with staging/production environments, Git, and deployment pipelines. If you have some experience with Vue.js, that’s a huge plus!
Responsibilities
- Develop, customize, and maintain WordPress websites, themes, and plugins.
- Implement UI/UX designs into fully functional WordPress sites with pixel-perfect accuracy.
- Work with modern development tools and workflows, including Git, staging environments, deployment pipelines, and CI/CD processes.
- Ensure security best practices are followed, including backup policies, data protection, and secure authentication.
- Integrate third-party APIs
- Write clean, efficient, and maintainable JavaScript code (not just jQuery).
- Troubleshoot and debug WordPress-related issues in a structured and efficient manner.
- Optimize website performance, including caching strategies, database queries, and asset optimization.
- Collaborate with designers, project managers, and other developers to deliver high-quality web projects.
Required Skills & Experience
- Strong experience with WordPress development, including custom themes, plugins
- Experience working with APIs
- Version control expertise using Git (e.g., GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket).
- Experience with modern deployment processes, including staging, testing, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Solid understanding of Javascript (beyond jQuery)
- Solid understanding of web security best practices and backup strategies.
- Ability to take a Figma/Sketch/Adobe XD UI design and turn it into a fully functional WordPress site.
Nice-to-Have (Bonus Skills)
- Experience with Vue.js
- Experience working with headless WordPress or decoupled front-end architectures.
- Knowledge of Docker or other containerization technologies.
- Familiarity with performance optimization tools like Lighthouse, GTmetrix, or WebPageTest.
- Experience with Elementor plugin
